Bigbee- All State Basketball- Congrats!

City High senior Virginia Johnson, West High sophomore Ally Disterhoft and Williamsburg junior Mackenzie Bigbee each earned first-team all-state honors from the Iowa Newspaper Association, it was announced Tuesday.

All three earned identical honors from the Iowa Girls Coaches Association on Monday.

Johnson (23 points per game in the front court) and Disterhoft (15 points in the back court) made the Class 4A first team. Bigbee averaged 14.9 points and made the Class 3A first team as a utility player.

West junior Mckenzie Piper made the second team in Class 4A as a utility player.

Lone Tree senior Courtney Burr made the third team in Class 1A in the back court.

Kiah Stokes of Linn-Mar was named Iowa's "Miss Basketball." The Connecticut recruit averaged 25.0 points and 14.9 rebounds for the Lions.
