WaMaC Conference Cross Country Championships

Teams:             Anamosa, Beckman, Benton, Center Point-Urbana, Central Dewitt, Clear Creek-Amana, Independence, Maquoketa, Marion, Mount Vernon, Solon, South Tama, Vinton-Shellsburg, West Delaware, Western Dubuque, Williamsburg

Location:         The Ashton Cross Country Course on the West Campus of the University of Iowa

Directions:       From I-80 take exit 242 to First Avenue (Coralville). This will become Mormon Trek Blvd as you cross HWY 6 going south. Turn right onto Hawkeye Park Road. Take the second left into the west parking area where the entrance to the cross country course will be on your right, which you will enter on a short gravel trail.

                        From 218 take the Melrose exit. Go east on Melrose to Hawkeye Park Road. Turn left on Hawkeye Park Road.  Take the second left into the west parking area where the entrance to the cross country course will be on your right, which you will enter on a short gravel trail.

Parking:           Parking is available in the long term and storage lot by the meet site. Buses are encouraged to drop athletes off then park at the soccer complex east of course.

Time:               4:00 – Varsity Girls      4:30 – Varsity Boys     5:00 – JV Girls        5:30 – JV Boys

Awards:            Team Trophy to Varsity Girls’ and Boys’ Champion.

                        Team Championship medals to Boys and Girls Team winners.

                        All Conference recognition will consist of; 1^st -7^th place = 1^st Team,

                        8^th-14^th place = 2^nd Team, 15^th – 25^th place = Honorable Mention.

                        Top 25 JV Boys & Girls will earn a conference ribbon.

Reminder:        Coaches will vote for Coach of the Year.

Other Info:      Please avoid the course during the races and respect the runners and spectators.

Please pick up your camp area after the meet.
