Boys Meet Info

Site:    Central College Cross Country Course on Central College Campus

Teams:  (Boys and Girls unless noted)
2A:      Albia, CMB, Centerville, Central Decatur, Davis Co., DM Christian, Dike-New Hartford, East Marshall, Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont, Grundy Center, PCM, Pella Christian, South Hardin, Union LaPorte City, Williamsburg (boys)

Coaches Meeting @ FINISH LINE: 2A MEETING: 3PM 3A MEETING: 4PM

Awards:  Medals to top 3 teams (State Qualifiers). Medals to top 10 individuals, (State Meet Qualifiers). Girls Regional Team Champion will receive a banner and the 3 boys teams qualifying for State will receive a banner.  Awards ceremony will take place as soon as results are compiled (after the boy’s race of each class) on the stage near the start line.
You may access Central’s web site to view the boys and girls courses at: http://www.central.edu/athletics/facilities/crossCountryCourse.cfm. Boys run on the 5000 course and the girls will run the 4000 course.

Water source: since we are away from most buildings, there is only one faucet/hose available. Please plan your hydration needs accordingly by bringing filled coolers/ice. Gators will be around to help haul your coolers from the bus drop off at DeJong’s.


SPECTATOR INFORMATION:

Fan Parking: See Map (P) Parking areas:
-       United Methodist Church south of course on University St.
-       Baseball/Softball parking lot along Fifield Road on the north side of athletic complex.
-       Lot/streets adjacent to Kuyper Fieldhouse and streets along Fifield Road
-       Disabled/Sr. Citizen/Handicap Drop-Off Zone and Shuttle Carts
o  For those requiring assistance (please only those in need), three 6-person Golf Carts will be available to shuttle from De Jong’s parking lot entrance to the course. Spectators needing assistance may be dropped off and picked up here. You may NOT park in DeJong’s lot.

Concessions: Pella Athletic Booster Club will have a light concession stand set up near the awards stage of drinks and snacks.

Coaches/Spectators:
We are guests of Central College and a premier cross country course as well as the United Methodist Church, DeJong’s Greenhouse and surrounding properties. Please remind your athletes, parents, and fans to respect the properties and parking areas established.
·      Pick up garbage
·      No PETS allowed at State sanctioned events
·      No tobacco products
·      Stay off the practice range tee box, chipping areas and putting green

·      No signs or noisemakers
